Garden Gremlins 2024: Stay & Play

Let your little ones unleash their creativity.

Garden Gremlins was a free stay-and-play group for children under 5 and their caregivers in the Roxby Community Garden. Led by artist Beatrice Lee Knowles, it provided a welcoming outdoor space where children could make friends, explore their creativity and play together.

The pilot ran on Tuesday afternoons from 10 September to 1 October 2024. Garden Gremlins has continued to evolve in subsequent years.

Evidence of Impact

Garden Gremlins began as a pilot project exploring how creative outdoor play could help children and families feel more connected to the Lincoln Green garden. The project created welcoming opportunities for open-ended play while encouraging confidence, creativity and community connection.
