Art Club: Gathered Colour | Free Natural Dyeing & Screen Printing Workshops
This summer we ran Gathered Colour, a special edition of Art Club delivered in partnership with Leeds Print Workshop.
Across two hands-on workshops, we explored how plants can be transformed into natural colour, before using those dyes to create screen prints and a large collaborative textile artwork.
Running over Monday 17th and Wednesday 19th August 2026, Gathered Colour offered the chance to learn new creative skills, spend time making alongside others and experience the process of natural dyeing and printmaking in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Workshop details

About the collaboration
These Art Club workshops are a collaboration between Mafwa Theatre and Leeds Print Workshop, two Leeds organisations that believe creativity should be welcoming, accessible and open to everyone.
Mafwa Theatre creates free, trauma-informed arts activities that bring together refugees, people seeking asylum and settled communities through creativity, culture and nature. Leeds Print Workshop is an open-access printmaking studio supporting artists and communities to explore traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques.
These Art Club workshops will combine nature, printmaking and collaborative making, creating space to experiment, learn new skills and make something meaningful alongside others.
