Location for April 29th session: to be confirmed.
What is Art Club?
This spring, Mafwa Theatre and Lens Lab Project are collaborating to run Art Club, a free, weekly series of creative mornings exploring photography and image-making. Sessions will take place across Roxby Community Garden, the Lens Lab studio and nearby green spaces.
Each session offers something a little different, from gentle photowalks and portrait-making to experimenting with hands-on printing techniques like as cyanotypes and salt prints. Together we’ll be exploring ideas of identity, place and nature using smartphones, cameras and analogue processes.
Who Can Join?
Art Club is open to adults (16+). You don’t need any previous experience, complete beginners and those who already enjoy being creative are all welcome.
As places are limited, Art Club is designed as a weekly group and participants are asked to attend the full series where possible, rather than drop in for selected individual sessions.
What to Expect
Sessions are about slowing down, connecting with others, and enjoying the creative process as much as the outcome. All materials and refreshments are provided.
Sessions run 10:30am – 12:30pm on Wednesdays, from March 4th to May 13th.
Most sessions will take place at Roxby Community Garden and Lens Lab Studio, with a small number held at other local locations. Full details will be shared with participants in advance.
Free to attend.
Spaces are limited, so early sign-up is encouraged.
